Dr. Ph. Van Overschelde is a fellowship-trained specialist in adult reconstructive surgery with a focus on primary and revision hip and knee replacement. He graduated from the Ghent University (Belgium) in 1999. He has completed fellowships in Marseille and Melbourne.
In 2006 he joined the Centre for Hip and Knee Arthroplasty at the AZ Maria-Middelares Clinic in Gent, Belgium. He is currently working in the Hip and Knee Unit (HKU) Ghent.
He is a biomedical engineer graduated from the Ghent University with a big interest in materials and implants. In 2016 he completed an MBA at the Vlerick Business School, Ghent.
He has a special interest in Value Based Healthcare and data collection and founded with 2 engineers moveUP.care in 2017.
He is a consultant for different medical device companies with a focus on implant development, surgical techniques, and medical education. He frequently travels around the world to give lectures and surgical training. He is a member of different national and international Orthopaedic societies. He has a big passion for sports and architecture.
