Dr. Demange currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology: University of São Paulo and he was former Head of the Knee Group at the Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Hospital das Clínicas at FM-USP. He participates in several research projects at the University of São Paulo, has published more than 100 peer reviewed scientific articles and written several chapters in books.
He is part of several national medical societies such as: the Brazilian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SBOT), the Brazilian Society of Knee Surgery (SBCJ), the Brazilian Society of Arthroscopy and Sports Trauma (SBRATE).
Internationally, he is a member of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine, where he serves on the Arthroscopy Committee, the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS), as a member of the Fellowship Committee, and is also an International Affiliate Member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Arthroplasty Committee at ISAKOS.
Besides being a doctor, he holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Faculdade do Largo de São Francisco.
