Mr. Hemant Pandit is currently Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Head of Research for Elective Orthopaedics at the University of Leeds. He also holds the post of Director of Research and Innovation for his institute (LIRMM), Deputy Director of LIRMM and honorary consultant surgeon in Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Additionally, he also holds the title of Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery (University of Oxford) and Visiting Professor of Orthopaedics (All India Institute of Medical Sciences [AIIMS], New Delhi, and AIIMS, Rishikesh, India).
Mr. Pandit has published over 350 peer-reviewed articles and 40 book chapters.
Out of these, over 175 peer-reviewed publications were in the past 5 years and include 37 3* and four 4* publications.

Prof. Pandit has vast experience in setting up and successful timely delivery of a randomised controlled trial as a chief investigator. In addition, he is currently leading three clinical trials (two phase IIB and one phase III) looking at different aspects of OA pathway (two studies) and the impact of biologic DMARDs in patients with inflammatory arthritis (one study).
