Dr. Huiwu Li

Huiwu Li qualified his doctor degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2006. He was appointed a chief physician at the orthopedics department of Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2019. He focuses on the hip and knee surgery and has a large practice in revision joint replacements. His research interests have included R&D of joint surgical robot, 3D printing, digital orthopedic technology, and basic research of joint diseases.

He is the chairman of the Bone and Joint Engineering Committee of the Shanghai Biomedical Engineering Society, and the leader of the “Pu Jinghui” Arthrology Group of the Orthopedic Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association. He is also the Member of Joint Surgery Group of Orthopedic Branch of Chinese Medical Association et al. He acquired the Shanghai Excellent Technical Leaders, Shanghai Science and Technology Inspiration Star Program, and Double Hundred Talents Program of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

He has been awarded the special prize of Shanghai Industry-University-Research Cooperation Excellent Project, the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Education, the third prize of China Medical Science and Technology Award, and the first prize of Shanghai Scientific and Technological Progress.
